A two-story house on the corner of Crystal Circle and North Beach Street in Ormond Beach caught fire Friday afternoon, displacing two elderly residents who are both unharmed.

The fire was running through the attic, and units from the Ormond Beach Fire Department, Volusia County Fire Department and Daytona Beach Fire Department responded to the fire, which was well involved when firefighters arrived on scene, said Ormond Beach Public Information Officer Jenn Elston. Everyone was out of the house by that time.

Elston said the house is likely a "total loss" and that the fire appears to have been accidental. The Florida State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident, and Red Cross was notified for help assisting the residents.
