The neighborhood meeting for the Tymber Creek Apartments project scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6, has been postponed.

According to an email by city planning staff on Thursday, July 30, the applicant stated that the meeting will be rescheduled "once there is an approved method to provide for hearing and meetings safely." The notice by Storch Law Firm stated that the project applicant received notice from the city that the City Commission has postponed hearings on the apartment project, as well as other major projects requiring public participation, until the meetings can be held safely.

The Tymber Creek Apartments project is proposing the construction of 300 multi-family units at 36 Tymber Creek Road. The plans show an entrance through the Walgreens at 2001 W. Granada Blvd, a retention pond and 10-foot landscape buffer between the apartments and Moss Point Drive. The plans also show there will be 10 apartment buildings, all three stories tall, with 24-36 units in each.

Once a new date for the neighborhood meeting is set, city staff will provide a notice on its website.
