Joseph Franklin Hardy
1930-2020

Greece: Joseph F. Hardy (Jimbo, Mike, Pa Pa Joe) He has now “Gone with God” as he always said. Joe was born in Gary, Indiana in 1930 and went to join his Lord on 3/22/2020. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Melveen Hardy, 5 of 7 siblings , Leon, Tom, Juanita, Willie and Arthur and the Love of his life Nan Graham who he’s waiting to join. He is survived by his brother Dave/Shirley Hardy, S-1-L Theresa Hardy, many nieces and nephews who loved him and called him Pa Pa Joe. PaPa Joe was also close with Nans family, Carol Ann, Cande, Bee and their families. He will be missed by all family friends in NY. And Florida and be remembered by his handing out of things, like; Here have ‘My Card’; ‘Praise God to whom all blessings flow ‘and ‘Go With God’ and his little remarks; How High Is Up?, to his great nieces/nephews, and reply to ‘How are you?, with; ‘Compared to What’, and many more!!! He was a Mason, Life member of VFW, supported many charities, churches, and as a caretaker for more than one person. Joe was a Chef in the Marines for 22yrs , then for the NYC Sheriffs Dept, In Sept. 2018, Joe moved to Rochester, NY to be near his family. Special Thanks to nephew Larry/Sue Ann Dennis who assisted their Uncle Dave and Joe with any needs in Rochester, NY and to Jeff/Johanna Hardy, in Idaho, who followed thru with Joes wishes and needs after his death. Joe will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with Masonic and Military Honors. There will be a Memorial Service at Messiah Lutheran Church at a later date.
