Flagler County Judge Andrea Totten has announced her candidacy for Flagler County Judge, Group 2. The election for Flagler County Judge will be held on Aug. 23, 2022. Totten was appointed to the bench in 2019 by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Prior to becoming a judge, she served as an assistant attorney general in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Office of the Attorney General, an assistant state attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, and a judicial law clerk. She received her bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and her law degree from The University of Toledo. She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2005.

Totten presides at the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell where she hears primarily civil and probate cases. Totten serves on the Pro Bono and Personnel Committees for the Seventh Judicial Circuit, and recently concluded her work on the District Court of Appeal Workload and Jurisdiction Assessment Committee, to which she was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court in May 2021.

Totten resides in Flagler County, which she has called home since 2004, with her husband and two children. She is an active member of the Rotary Club and a Take Stock in Children mentor.

“In the two years since my appointment, I have worked hard to serve the residents of Flagler County with skill, honesty, and integrity, and look forward to continuing to do so in the future,” Totten said.
