New restaurant Bamboo Garden marks a local family's first entrepreneurial venture.

Owned by Kinh Doan, the family hope their experience in the restaurant industry will translate to running a successful operation.

Bamboo Garden was previously a Chinese restaurant, offering a traditional selection of Chinese staples. With the prior owner retiring, through a mutual family connection, Doan obtained the opportunity to take over and transform the restaurant into a completely new establishment.

Bamboo Garden underwent renovations to create a brighter, more modern atmosphere with natural lighting. Additionally, instead of Chinese food, the restaurant now primarily offers Vietnamese food, in alignment with the family’s cooking knowledge. With these changes finished, the restaurant opened in August 2020.

In addition to Pho, there are many other menu options, including sushi. There is also a full bar, including cold sake and craft beer, offering a large selection of Florida beer as Doan mentioned he enjoys supporting local breweries.  They are located at 749 S. Nova Road.  For more information, visit bamboogardenormond.com or call 271-7221.
