Hurricane season officially begins June 1 and now is the time to prepare yourself, your family and your home in the event of a storm.
The 2021 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday will be held May 28 to June 6. Remember to shop local for supplies. You can see which items are tax free by clicking here.
With many new residents living Palm Coast for their first summer and those longtime residents who appreciate helpful reminders, there are several steps you can take to prepare: create a disaster plan; create a disaster supply kit; prepare your property (home or business); and be informed through various government channels. The best way to be prepared for hurricane storm surge is to know your evacuation zone and plan your destination and travel routes ahead of time. Keep in mind that not every address in Palm Coast has an evacuation zone. Also, the Palm Coast "section" you live in is NOT your evacuation zone (i.e. the "B" section is NOT evacuation zone B).
