The Potato Bowl football game at Matanzas High School has been moved to tonight because of severe weather in Friday night's forecast.

The game between Flagler Palm Coast and Matanzas, which was originally scheduled for Friday night, has been rescheduled for 7:30 tonight. Tickets are available at gofan.co.

Matanzas athletic director Jordan Butler said law enforcement, the schools' principals and the school district as well were involved in the decision.

The National Weather Service reports a flood watch is in effect for the Jacksonville area from 7 a.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday. The Friday night forecast for Palm Coast calls for an 80% chance of precipitation with winds from 15 to 18 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph.

Butler said 972 tickets had been sold for the game. The stadium seats 2,800. No backpacks are allowed in the stadium.
