Thursday, Dec. 14

Holiday at The Casements

When: 6 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: Attend this year's "Holiday at The Casements" for a free holiday concert on the north lawn by The Moonlighters. Arrive at 6 p.m. and tour the inside of The Casements. A free dessert bar will open at 6:30 p.m., and the music will start at 7 p.m. There will be special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Holiday Night Market

When: 4-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15-16

Where: European Village, 101 Palm Harbor Blvd., Palm Coast

Details: Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts and see Santa and Mrs. Claus at European Village. 

Christmas in Bunnell

When: 5 p.m. 

Where: Joanne King Park, 300 Citrus St., Bunnell

Details: The city of Bunnell is hosting this free Christmas event featuring music and performances by a local high school dance team, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus and appearances by Christmas characters for photo opportunities. There will also be food trucks. 

The Silhouettes: 'The Light of Christmas'

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center, 5500 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast

Details: The Silhouettes, golden buzzer winners on America's Got Talent, are a shadow-dance company created and directed by Lynne Waggoner-Patton. Experience the light of the holidays at this show. Tickets cost $54. Visit flaglerauditorium.org.

Blood drive

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Lulu's Oceanside Grill, 30 S. Atlantic Ave., Ormond Beach

Details: The Ormond Beach Lei-dees' Group for 50+ is hosting a blood drive with the Big Red Bus. Participants will receive a $20 e-gift card and a "Give Life" blanket from One Blood. A Great Rosy Glow: The story of Bulow Plantation Ruins

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, 3501 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach

Details: Learn about the events that led to the destruction of one of the largest plantations in East Florida during the Second Seminole War. The program will include a half-mile roundtrip hike to view the ruins. Bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent and wear sturdy shoes. Program is free with park entry of $4 per vehicle. 

Black-owned business showcase

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: African American Cultural Center, 4422 N. U.S. 1, Palm Coast

Details: The Palm Coast Flagler County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will present this showcase featuring custom products, food trucks and professional services. Where: Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave., Ormond Beach

Watercolor workshop with Bibi Gromling

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Christmas sing-along and concert

Where: Central Baptist Church, Adams Hall, 142 Fairview Ave., Daytona Beach

Starlight Parade — CANCELED

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: The Starlight Parade, which was expected to be held at 6 p.m. in Town Center, has been canceled due to potential severe weather.

'Sounds of the Season'

Navy Band Southeast holiday show

When: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Where: Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center, 5500 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast

Details: See the Navy Southeast Band perform a free holiday concert. Tickets (up to two per person) must be picked up at Carrabba's Italian Grille at 160 Cypress Edge Drive in Palm Coast; and Beachfront Grille at 2444 S. Ocean Shore Blvd. in Flagler Beach.

Blue Christmas Service

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach

Details: Grieving or feeling sad this Christmas? Attend this service for healing and hope. The service will includes Bible scriptures, music and candle lighting.

School's Out for Art: Holiday Cottages

When: 2-3:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Separation of Church and State event

Details: Florida Policy Institute Senior Policy Analyst and KIDS COUNT Director Norin Dollard will be the featured guest speaker at the general meeting of the Atlantic Coast Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Veterans Creative Expression Workshop: New Year Shooting Star

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Assemble a celebratory piñata to mark the New Year during this workshop for veterans and service members led by Diamond Johnson. All supplies will be provided, and no experience is needed. The group will also get a guided tour of the museum’s current exhibit. Free program. Handbells for the Holidays

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Celebrate the holiday season with handbell music in the gardens by the St. James Ringers, a volunteer ensemble from St. James Episcopal Church. Admission is free and guests are encouraged to walk the gardens and enjoy the music. The museum will also offer hot tea and coffee as well as a holiday card-making activity until 3 p.m. All art supplies will be provided. The cards will be delivered by the museum staff to local nursing homes. All ages are welcome. 

Linda Cole concert

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Library, 30 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: The Friends of the Ormond Beach Library will present a concert by Linda Cole, jazz singer and a member of the legendary Nat “King” Cole family. Free program. Open to the community.

Blue Christmas Service

When: 4 p.m.

Where: Central Baptist Church, 142 Fairview Ave., Daytona Beach

Details: Attend this service of quiet contemplation — whether you personally struggle during the holidays or would like to pray on behalf of someone who is. Call 386-255-2588.

Ormond Beach area Democratic Club meeting

When: 7 p.m.

Where: 56 N. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: Join the Ormond Beach Area Democratic Club for its monthly meeting. Check-in and social visiting will begin at 6:30 p.m. There will be a review of club activities in 2023 and a look ahead to club activities in 2024 in preparation for the November election, how to meet Democratic neighbors, and updates on local, state and national issues. Ranger Walk inside Tomoka State Park

Where: Tomoka State Park recreation hall, 2099 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Join a park ranger on a guided 1-mile hike through the hardwood hammock of Tomoka State Park. Learn about the park's history, wildlife and flora. Bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent and wear sturdy shoes. Program is free with park entry of $5 per vehicle.

AW Custom Kitchens toy drive

When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: European Village, 101 Palm Harbor Parkway, Unit b113, Palm Coast

Details: AW Custom Kitchens Inc. is partnering with Toys-for-Tots for a nonprofit toy drive event. Every toy donated grants the donor a ticket for a sweepstakes featuring a chance to win a TV, iPad, Apple Air Pods and more. There will be free popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, hot dogs, refreshments and a bounce house. The prize drawing will take place at 2 p.m. Donate toys from now until the date of the event. Moms of Pre Schoolers

When: 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the second and fourth Friday of the month

Details: Moms of Pre Schoolers is a free faith-based program for moms, moms-to-be and their preschoolers for support and encouragement. Breakfast is provided, as well as a video with discussion and crafts. Playtime offered for children, with adult supervision. Call 386-255-2588.
