Halifax Health welcomes its first baby of 2024

The baby girl, named Emerson, made her big debut six days before her due date, weighing in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

Halifax Health welcomed its first baby of 2024, born at 1:50 am on Jan. 1.

The baby girl, named Emerson, made her big debut six days before her due date, weighing in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Parents Tanner and Kayla are elated on the arrival of their first baby.

“I was scheduled for an induction later in the week but she had other plans,” Kayla said.

As with tradition, the family was gifted baskets of baby items put together by Halifax Health and Tanger Outlets, along with a photo package from Baby Face Portraits.
