Ormond Beach Soccer Club adds former pro coach
The coaching pool at the Ormond Beach Soccer Club just got deeper.
Club Technical Director Jeff Allen said all of the full-time coaches have national licenses or have played professionally or semi-professionally.
“We just added a guy on staff this year, Carlos Barone, who played on the Argentine National Team in the mid to late '70s,” Allen said. “He’s coached professionally in Uruguay, Argentina and Central America. He has just an incredible background. We have several of the college coaches in the area (on staff).”
The soccer club, which plays in the Greater Central Florida Youth Soccer League, has already begun playing games for the 2012 season.
