The One Daytona Art Festival returned for the third year on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22-23, bringing over 100 artists and vendors to town.
A total of $17,500 in special donations were also presented — $13,500 for Volusia County Schools' visual arts program, and $4,000 to ArtHaus, a local youth arts nonprofit.
“We’re thrilled to share a diverse variety of art, culture and entertainment with our community here at One Daytona for our third year,” said One Daytona President Roxanne Ribakoff in a news release. “It’s been a delight to welcome new and returning artists this year, while also introducing fresh aspects of the festival experience for guests.”
This year's festival showcased live painting performances, artist panels, a chalk art competition and the unveiling of a new mural, in partnership with Natasha Azri of the Save the Arts Movement. The mural is part of One Daytona's public arts campaign, which includes a mural completed by Erwin Dazelle last fall.
