Halifax Health Foundation and Daytona International Speedway hosted the 43rd annual Daytona International Speedway Pro-Am Golf Classic at LPGA International in Daytona Beach in October. The event raised $225,000 for Halifax Health Foundation and local charities.
This event allowed each participating foursome to be paired with a PGA Golf Professional for the entire round. Since 2004, this annual event has raised more than $3.2 million. Halifax Health Foundation includes the Betty Jane France Center for Pediatrics at Halifax Health and various charities.
Animal clinic to expand
SVN Alliance negotiated the sale of vacant land in October for an established, growing veterinary clinic.
Carl Lentz, managing director at SVN Alliance, negotiated the transaction representing the seller and buyer, Pet Street Veterinary Care, for construction of their new 5,000-square-foot building at 240 S. Nova Road. The expansion will offer separate exam rooms for dogs and cats; surgery; dentistry; radiology; and a full boarding facility, according to a press release.
The AAHA-certified clinic, now located at 299 W. Granada Blvd., Suite B, started in 2009. They anticipate entering the new facility in July 2017.

Fashion show benefits charity
The Ladies Charity Fashion Show was held Oct. 30 at Las Bistro in Ormond Beach, bringing in over $1,000 in net proceeds for Avenues 12 Recovery Houses.
The event featured a table-side fashion show with local volunteer models who were wearing clothes provided by Miss Priss, a local consignment shop. Ticket holders were able to purchase items being worn by the models. Jewelry was provided by Linda Jakel of Premier Jewelry, and makeup by Mary Woodford of Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Avenues 12 Women’s Recovery Houses provide structured and stable environments for women recovering from the disease of addiction.
Two agents hired
Adams, Cameron & Co. Realtors has announced two additions to its team of agents. Paige Rasmussen has experience in customer service and retail, as well as real estate. She believes this gives her the ability to work with different personalities, according to a press release.
