A few minutes before the first bell ran, students at three different local schools gathered around the flag pole to say a prayer for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities.

A part of National Student Prayer Week, Sept. 28 is recognized as See You At The Pole Day, a global day of student prayer that began in 1990. Oasis Youth Group students honored the movement at Pathways Elementary, Hinson Middle and Mainland High School.
