Ormond Beach Elementary celebrated the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 13, with song, high-fives and hugs for all its new and returning students.
With High School Musical's song "We're All in This Together" on repeat, new Principal Shannon Hay, Ormond Beach Mayor Bill Partington, and OBE staff welcomed the students in front of the school entrance. District 4 School Board Member Carl Persis and his wife Susan Persis, past OBE principal and Ormond Beach City Commission Candidate for Zone 3, were also in attendance.
