Saint Brendan eighth-graders teach tolerance to younger peers
"I can't believe this many kids are talking to each other," eighth-grader Antonio Moreno shouted as he ran over to help another student find his seat. While the full tables and loud conversation were common during lunch period at Saint Brendan Catholic School, one thing was very different: students from different grades were eating with each other.
As a part of the national campaign Mix It Up at Lunch, the eighth-graders organized a lunch to get students from different grades to interact with each other.
