The Casements Camera Club announces its 9th-annual Spring Exhibit winners

First place: "Pretty Rosie" by Vicki Payne

Second place: "Bella at Night" by Kathleen Pruett

The Casements Camera Club has announced the winners for its 9th-annual Spring Exhibit at a special meeting and reception held Tuesday, June 21, in The Casements' gallery.

The show drew 37 entries made by 30 photographers, and 30 members of The Casements Camera Club voted for the top five awards. Two hundred and seven votes were tallied from the public for the People’s Choice Award.

The winners were:

Best of Show and the People's Choice Award: "Sunset on Lake Disston" by Ans Van Beek Torkington
First place: "Pretty Rosie" by Vicki Payne
Second place: "Bella at Night" by Kathleen Pruett
Third place: "Into the Light" by Judith M. Schutz

The exhibit at The Casements, located at 25 Riverside Drive, will remain on display through June 29. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.

"We hope you enjoy the photographic creativity of our members,” Club President Ans van Beek Torkington said.
