Two home catch fire in Ormond Beach during the hurricane

Two fires broke out on the same day.

A mobile home burned down in a trailer park on Lincoln Ave.

A house on beachside burned down Oct. 8.

A mobile home at 19 N. Yonge St., was completely engulfed Oct. 7 for unknown causes.

The Ormond Beach Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 8:55 a.m. and the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no occupants in the structure and the cause appears to be unintentional.

A home on beachside, along with two vehicles, also caught fire the same day. Due to the high wind speeds on Granada Bridge, crews didn't make it in time to save the home at 115 Banyan Drive. Once wind speeds subsided, the Ormond Beach Fire Department staff went to the site.

No one was in the home at the time. It was estimated at a value of $150,000.
